Job Description:

Cando Information Technology is located in Napanee, Ontario and is a locally owned and operated Internet Service Provider.  We provide Internet Service , Computer Sales/Service as well as Electronic Sales/Service .  At CanDo IT you will be working in a fast paced environment and must be able to adapt to may different situations.


Position: Customer Service

Employment Type: 12 month maternity leave contract

Occupation Tasks:

  • Operate telephone to answer, screen and forward calls, providing information, taking messages and scheduling appointments.

  • Greet persons entering establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct them.

  • Transmit information or documents to customers, using computer or mail.

  • Perform administrative support tasks such as operating computers to work with records, invoices, and other documents.

  • Accept payment for services including cash, credit, cheque, ect.

  • Maintain records and online databases.

  • Provide information about establishment such as services provided.

  • Collect, sort, distribute and prepare mail, and messages.

  • Provide basic technical support

  • Maintain workspace organization and cleanliness


Occupational Requirements:

  • Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates - Providing information to supervisors, and co-workers by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.

  • Getting Information - Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.

  • Interacting With Computers - Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to perform general duties

  • English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

  • Computers and Electronics - Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.


Occupation Tools and Technology:

  • Tools - Desktop computers, laptops, networking hardware, and  I.T. products

  • Technology - Accounting software, Excel, QuickBooks, Data base user interface and query software, Microsoft operating systems, and online tools.


Experience :

  • Related Work Experience – 1-2 year reception and/or sales and/or information technology industry experience

  • Required Level of Education – High School Diploma or equivalent
