Quick Settings

IMAP Configuration Options

(preferred)

Incoming:

Mail Server: mail.sisna.com
Server port is 993.
Incoming Mail Server requires SSL.

​

Outgoing:

Server: smtp.sisna.com
Server port is 465.
Outgoing Mail Server requires SSL.

​

The Outgoing Mail Server does require authentication. The E-mail address and associated password are the username and password.

POP Configuration Options

(not recommended)

​

Incoming:

Mail Server: mail.sisna.com
Server port is 995.
Incoming Mail Server requires SSL.

​

Outgoing:

Server: smtp.sisna.com
Server port is 465.
Outgoing Mail Server requires SSL.

​

The Outgoing Mail Server does require authentication. The E-mail address and associated password are the username and password.

Step One :  Open Thunderbird

Step Two:  Select "Skip this and use my existing email"

Step Three: 

Your Name:   This name is what others see

Email Address:  Full email address including @mycando.ca

Password:  Email Password

Click continue when finished

Step Four:   Click done and start sending email

Outlook

1. Open Outlook.
2. Click File, then Add Account. See Figure 1 below.

3. Next, select Manually configure server settings or additional server types, then click Next. See Figure 2 below.

4. In this screen, choose Internet E-mail, then click Next. Figure 3 below illustrates this window.

5. This window is where you enter your email information, see Figure 4 below

  • Enter Your Name as you want it to appear.
  • Enter your full email address username@example.com in the Email address: field.
  • Select IMAP.
  • Enter mail.sisna.com in the Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP) server: field.
  • Enter smtp.sisna.com in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: field. To avoid common authentication issues with Outlook, we strongly advise using SSL and port 465 for SMTP connections.
  • Enter your full email address, email@mycando.ca., in the User Name field.
  • Enter your email password in the Password: field.
6. Perform the following steps:
  • Click on More Settings... see Figure 5 for the location of this button.

Click on the Outgoing Server tab. Check My outgoing server (SMTP) Requires Authentication. Make sure Use same setting as my incoming mail server is also checked. Click on OK. See Figure 6 as reference

7. Click the Test Account Settings button and you should see all items with green check marks... Click the Close Button to close the test window.

Click OK to save your settings.

Congratulations. You have finished the setup of your email account. Click Finish to close the setup wizard

1. Go to Settings and click Accounts:

2. Press Add account

4. Now you'll be asked to configure the basic settings. Firstly enter your email address and press Next:

Now enter your password and press Next again:

5. Choose IMAP account when asked

6. Now you'll be asked to configure the incoming server settings

  1. User name: Enter your email address. myemail@mycando.ca

  2. Password: enter your email password

  3. IMAP-server: mail.sisna.com

  4. Security type: STARTTLS

  5. Port: 143

  6. IMAP path prefix: INBOX

Press Next

7. Now you'll be asked to configure the incoming server settings

  1. SMTP server: smtp.sisna.com

  2. Security type: STARTTLS

  3. Port: Enter 587

  4. Require sign-in: Checked

  5. User name: Enter your email address

  6. Password: Enter your address password

  7. Press Next

8. Now you'll be asked to configure some general account settings. Most of these you can change to your liking, but we recommend to check the Automatically (Push) option then Press Next

9.) Now you'll be asked to name the account, and choose which name should be displayed as the sender. These settings have no impact on the functionality, so you can change these to your liking

Press Finish setup

And that's it, so you should be able to send and receive emails on your Android device.
